Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

White & Sterling is continually monitoring any changes to Government issued guidance and we adapt our ways of working accordingly. Our policies and procedures include a wide range of enhanced hygiene and clinical procedures which have been developed based on the information issued by the NHS, Public Health England and the Department of Health and Social Care. To date, we have not had any cases of Covid-19 as a result of the strict procedures we have implemented to protect the health of our residents.

There have been no cases of Covid-19 in Heath House to date. In the event that there is a Coronavirus case inside Heath House, all residents will be notified. In said event, it would only be possible to visit your loved ones in Heath House once it’s deemed Outbreak Free – namely it has been 28 days since the onset of symptoms of the last case. This period represents twice the incubation period of the virus.

Visiting protocol as follows:

A maximum of one visitor per resident up to thirty minutes where we would encourage these visitors to be constant visitors. The visitor will be required to provide a copy of a negative Covid-19 test that has taken place within the last 48 hours. Failure to provide the negative test result will prevent the visitor being allowed to visit Heath House. Unfortunately, no children are allowed at this point.

All visits must be booked with the concierge team to enable us to manage them safely and ensure the appropriate cleaning and hygiene regimes are in place.

You will be asked some health screening questions at the start of your visit, asked to wash your hands or use the sanitising gel provided and will have your temperature taken. If you do not have a negative Covid-19 test result that has taken place within the last 48 hours, please do not travel to Heath House as we will need to refuse entry.

You will be asked to wear a face mask and practice social distancing for the duration of your visit. Unfortunately, this means no kissing, hugging or holding hands.

Full details of how your visit will be managed can be provided by the onsite concierge team, when requested.

Other visitors to Heath House

The restrictions to Heath House has been applied to all non-essential visitors as well as relatives and friends. This has included members of our internal governance, and facilities management. While we felt this was an important step to take in terms of reducing the risk of infection, we are very aware that these visits are an important part of ensuring the health and safety of residents and monitoring the quality of our care.

Please rest assured that all visitors will be briefed on the strictest infection control procedures and will be subject to many of the same control measures outlined for friends and family.
